T-shirts have long been a way to express your feelings, make a statement and declare your love for particular fandoms. These days, Christian-inspired T-shirts are trending, especially those that proclaim wearers to be among the faithful. 

Among the most popular designs are those that have the word “faith” printed vertically and sideways, with the first letter “f” made out to resemble a cross. Others have the word “faith” written into a heart. You’ll also see T-shirts with phrases, such as “Faith does not make things easy, it makes them possible” and “Faith, hope, love.”

If you’re in the market for one of these, you’ll want to look at materials. Many T-shirts are made from cotton. Cotton is inexpensive, absorbent and durable, but it wrinkles easily. It can also shrink, so be careful when washing these shirts; follow the manufacturer’s laundering instructions or let them air dry.

Polyester is wrinkle-resistant and washes well but is not as soft and breathable as cotton. Look for fiber blends that offer the best of both worlds; a bit of Spandex can add stretch and comfort, while polyester and cotton blends may wash better.

You’ll also want to figure out sizing. Women’s T-shirts can fit tightly, snugly or loosely and are most often sold in sizes XXS (00) to XXL (16-18). As a guide, a small (0-2) waist usually measures 25 to 26 inches with a 30- to 32-inch bust. A large (8-10) fits a 30- to 32-inch waist and 36- to 38-inch bust.

Manufacturers all have different sizing, though, so read the product descriptions carefully. Looser shirts look more casual but are forgiving and can be much more comfortable. Those with longer lengths that hit below the hips are also popular and look especially good with slimmer pants. Cropped T-shirts are also versatile and pair well with high-waisted jeans, skirts and shorts.

If you don’t want the traditional crew neck T-shirt design, look for faith shirts with V-necks, long sleeves and tunic designs, with or without decorations like faux suede and buttons.
